These labels are able to resist abrasion and will not turn yellow in the heat of vulcanization. Special adhesives used have high initial tack, heat resistance and an affinity for green rubber and printed images on the labels are specially coated to be protected from both caustic solutions and acids.
Tires require labels, like most other consumer products. The most commonly seen are the large adhesive labels stuck on new tires.
There are various labels for this use. Some labels provide basic information and are mainly intended to communicate a brand or to label a part for easy recognition. Other labels are applied mainly to give instructions to users, to give information on the function of a piece of equipment, or to protect the part.
Battery labels are specially made to endure corrosive and harsh environments like high temperatures, acids and oils. They are typically made from synthetic materials such as polyester and then protected with laminate.
